Because God Told Me To

It has been a continual prayer of mine for the Lord to present me with opportunities to speak about him. Since I found God, I have a passion to share of his love, his grace and mercy. Now when I was asking for these things I was only talking about speaking to someone whose path I may cross or a chance to speak to my friends and family about him. And I was always granted a moment to do just that.

The thing about God is that, when he answers your prayers, he will not only give you exactly what you asked for but sometimes he will give you so much more. He answered this prayer for me in a way that I never even knew was possible. I believe this book is an answer to my prayer. I never knew I had this in me but God knows our potential. He knows what we are capable of even when we do not.

For me this was a lesson in obedience, trust and leaning on his faithfulness. I had received a word from the Lord and I knew exactly what he wanted me to do. I did not know why or even how I was going to do it. I had never written anything before and I didn't even have a computer. I had received my instruction and with that I began to write. Not knowing where this was going or how I would accomplish this task. But I remained faithful and obedient, doing my part and continuing to write. He was with me every step of the way, directing me and aligning me with the perfect people to get the job done. So, why did I write this book? The answer is because God told me to.

If you did not know where he was leading you, would you still follow? Even if it does not align with the things you were taught, would you trust him? You have to be willing to have faith in him and trust him one hundred percent. Let him lead your steps and trust that his plan is in your best interest.

For me this process (detailed in my book, My Extraordinary Walk) has been truly amazing. From hearing him speak to me, to receiving confirmations, to putting in the work and becoming a published author. I am still in awe, God is so awesome. You can let him be awesome in your life as well. Be obedient to his word, do your part and trust him to do his. He cannot fail.

KJV 1 Samuel 15:22 ...Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold to obey is better than sacrifice, and to be hearken than the fat of rams.

KJV Psalm 37.5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass..

KJV Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
