Be Intentional

To be intentional means to move or act in a deliberate manner. To do something on purpose. To make a conscious decision towards an intended goal. It means that the desired outcome was not achieved by accident, coincidence or chance. Being intentional requires that you knowingly consider the response to your actions.

God is intentional. He is deliberate in His every action. And every time He responds to us it is for a designed purpose. With an expected and known reaction. From the very beginning with the creation of this world. To the birth, life and death of Jesus, it all had an intended purpose.

If He tells us something it is because it will be so. And if He shows us something it is certain to come to pass. My favorite pastor is known to say that God is with you in the present, He is also in the future and He can walk with you along the way. God is leading us all to a future that is already known by Him. So when He places you on a path all we have to do is follow.

If you know that God is intentional in all that He does. Then know that you are created for a purpose. There is a conscious, intended, deliberate purpose for your life. Step into it. Know who and whose you are. But be aware, the enemy already knows this and will try anything to keep you from figuring it out .

We must be intentional as well. Be intentional in your thoughts and your actions. Exhibit your faith by living an upright life. Lead by example even if no one is watching. Be intentional in your speech and in your prayers. Choose your words wisely. Words are powerful. Be specific in your prayers. And be intentional in how you love. We are to love God, love ourselves and love others. Learn to love without motives, without an expected return and even if your love is not acknowledged.

Move through life with purpose. You are the child of the most high God. Be intentional in your every action. Especially your relationship with God and in the relationships you create with others. You have to change your mind set and focus on what is right. Even if you don't know what your purpose is believe that you have one. Be encouraged and read your bibles, you are more powerful than you know.

Romans 8:28 28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Revelation 4:11 11"You are worthy, our LORD and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."

Ephesians 2:10 10For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Matthew 22:34-40 34Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: "'Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

John 13:34 34"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
