Don't Stop Praying

Prayer is our communication with God. It is how we acknowledge Him. It is how we show respect and reverence to who He is. It is also how we exhibit our faith. It takes faith and trust to quietly go to the Lord with your head held low, hands pressed together and know that your God has heard your request.

In prayer we open our hearts, minds and thoughts to God. Of course He knows everything anyway. But this is more for us to show Him that we know exactly who He is. There is nothing we can tell Him that will shock Him or surprise Him. We cannot hide anything from God. He knows us better than we know ourselves.

Prayer is a key part of forging a personal relationship with Him. As we pray we are reaching out to Him and the amazing part is that as we reach out to Him, He is reaching out to us. It just takes that small step on our part. I believe that He is anxiously waiting for us to turn to Him fully. Not just a fleeting prayer here or there.

Build your prayer life up and watch Him show up. I believe that He loves to respond to us. He wants us to know that He is not hiding. He is right there and has always been right there. Waiting on us to realize it.

Prayer is one of the tools that God has given us. Not only to talk to Him but to call for help, strength, as a spiritual weapon and so much more. The bible says that the prayers of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Many of us just don't know how powerful we really are.

When you pray, as a righteous man (a good, virtuous, upright, upstanding, decent man) know that your prayer has been heard. Stay steadfast in prayer even when you don't see immediate results. Know that an action and a response has been taken even if you are unaware of what the action is. An angel could have been dispatched to start the process. Encouragement, motivation, inspiration, enlightenment, all these things could be the initial response to your prayer and you may never know. So whatever you do don't stop praying.

KJV 1 John 5:14 14And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

KJV 2 Chronicles 7:14

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

KJV James 5:16

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
