Happy Mother' Day! Today is a day not just to celebrate your mother but every woman who has taken a motherly role in your life. Some moms parent children that they did not give birth too. Some moms take you into their lives to teach you. Others cover you in prayer. Many others come into your life to supply needs that you never knew you had.
Whoever the woman is and whatever role she plays in your life, celebrate her today. Make sure she knows that she is loved and appreciated. It doesn't take anything away from the mother that raised you, to show love to the other women in your life. Especially if they have influenced your life in any way.
Mother's Day is not just for those women who have birth children but any woman who has shown you care and affection. It is also for those women who are there for you. The ones that you can confide in. The ones who give you good advice. The ones that correct you when you are wrong. And nurture you when you don't even realize you need it.
Show them all some love today. There is a saying to give someone their flowers while they are alive. Let's do this with all the mothers in our lives. Make a call, give a hug, go visit them today. It doesn't take much. They will not always be here with us. Make sure they know that they are appreciated and loved.
