Scripture is defined as the scared writings of Christianity contained in the Bible. Scripture teaches us about God, about Jesus and about who we really are. It contains life lessons and examples of faith, trust and tells us what to believe in. It is a guide that shows us how to live. And tells us the testimonies of believers who have taken this walk long before us. Simply put scripture is the living and active word of God.
When we take scripture and we combine it with prayer, something different happens. It takes your prayers to another level. Now, your prayers are not only coming from a place of knowledge. Knowledge of the things you've learned, believe and know that the Bible says. They are now coming from a place of authority and power. That is given to us all by the Holy Spirit. When you pray like this, you are not only speaking on, but you are standing on the promises of God.
When you pray like this you are contracting God to His word. You are contracting Him to the blessings and promises that He already wants to bestow into our lives. Basically your are claiming what is already yours. Prayer is powerful and when you know how to pray is releases the supernatural, which is God and the abundance of God into your life.
That is why we must pray scripture over everything we love and care about. Pray scripture over yourself. Pray scripture over your life. Pray scripture over your job. Pray scripture over your loved ones. So that everything around you can stay blessed and protected. This world can be cold and dark sometimes but through prayer we can bring more love and light into those things around us.
It's that simple and we all have access to God in this way. Prayer is a tool. We just have to use it. Don't take my word for it, try God today.
